Knitting...

it's not all cardies and toilet-roll holders and you don't have to be A member of the w.I. to love it!

Welcome to the Swampy Ewe-Knitted website!

Swampy Ewe-Knitted is the knitting group for the Isle of Sheppey area and its environs (Swale)

The group meets fortnightly on a Friday lunch time and monthly on a Saturday evening (see Dates for this years scheduled meetings)

Please feel free to browse the site and see what we do.
And if you have any comments, please email me using the link at the bottom of the page.

Enjoy your visit to the site and if you feel inspired by anything here, come join us if you are in the Sheppey/Swale area - if not, search out a knitting group near you!

NEWS.... NEWS.... NEWS.... NEWS.... NEWS.... NEWS.... NEWS.... NEWS....

We are running a number of trips to knitting shows/exhibitions this year.  these are open to swampy ewe-knitted members.
Please see the Exhibitions page for full details!!!

whatever happened to the clock tower scarf?

We haven't forgotten about it!  My front room is full of the lovely knitted squares which we need to find the time to sew together to make blankets.  Getting this done is proving more of a challenge than knitting the squares in the first place!  We will have some blankets done by this winter though so that we can pass them on as we intended.

World Wide Knit In Public Day 2010

I am looking for suggestions for Club activities for the World Wide Knitting in Public Weekends next year.  This year we were unable to organise any events due to holiday commitments but I would like to make sure we do something for the event next year.  If you have any suggestions or would like to get involved in organising the event, please email me.

Site updates!

Due to the imminent shut down of the Geocities free service, I have changed the set up of the website to a different Free Server provider - FreeVirtualServers - and we even have our own domain name now!  Hopefully this will mean that I am able to update the site quicker and more efficiently, allowing the site to be a better source of knitting information for those who visit it.

Our next meeting will be:

Saturday 22nd August

from 7pm to 9.30pm
at Rowena's House

For more information on the group and the address of the meetings, please contact Rowena on Sheerness 668239 or use the email link below
